#DRAGONFLIGHT ELEMENTAL SHAMAN UPDATE#
The start of the new month also marks an update to WoW's Trading Post, with a new set of rewards to earn and a new list of tasks to complete. Most other classes only saw very minor changes in PvP, while Enhancement Shamans should have more consistent damage thanks to 20% buffs to Stormstrike and Windstrike. On the PvP side, Marksmanship Hunters are having their damage shifted from Kill Shot over to base rotation abilities. Last and certainly the least in terms of buffs, Blood Death Knights have received a 3% boost to all damaging abilities. A few of these changes only apply to PvE, but the big Icefury change is universal.Īlthough not quite as big of a boost, WoW Dragonflight 's Protection Paladins have received an impressive 30% damage increase to Hammer of Wrath and 20% boosts to Greater Judgment's bonus and Hammer of the Righteous' damage. The buffs don't stop there for Elemental Shamans, however, as Lightning Bolt, Lava Burst, Earth Shock, Frost Shock, and Elemental Blast have each seen buffs up to 15%. WoW Dragonflight's Elemental Shamans in particular have seen some major improvements, with Icefury receiving a staggering 80% damage increase along with generating 14 Maelstrom rather than 8. The February 28 hotfix has mostly been geared toward buffs of underperforming classes, at least as far as PvE is concerned. RELATED: World of Warcraft Fan Makes Incredible Mosaics out of LEGOs Despite the well-received launch, there's still plenty of work to be done as Blizzard continues its endless struggle to balance the game's growing roster of classes. Featuring a smaller-scale narrative, fewer systems to keep track of, and Dragonflight's enjoyable Dragonriding traversal, this latest expansion seems to have been designed for more casual players that have grown weary in WoW's recent years. WoW: Dragonflightplayers should notice Shamans putting out a little more DPS thanks to one particularly significant buff to Icefury, and the hotfix also addresses a handful of balance issues in PvP.Īfter stumbling through several expansions that left many players frustrated due to long walks through the dreary Maw, countless "borrowed power" systems that required constant upkeep, and a few too many extra systems and currencies to keep track of, WoW Dragonflight has been a breath of fresh air. Blizzard capped off the month of February by showing World of Warcraft: Dragonflight's Shamans, Paladins, and Death Knights some love in the form of a few helpful buffs to key abilities.
